One of our regular costumers is Stavangerkameratene, who the last few years have been highly sucessfull all over the country – which has rewarded them with a platinum album. The first of the singles we worked on were called “The blueberries” (Blåberå) and “Worse than you” (Verre enn deg).
The first single was “Worse than you” and the band asked for a number of celebs featuring in the media at the time. Some international and some national: The members of the band, the young enviromental activist Greta Tunberg, The Prime Minister of Norway at the time – Erna Solberg, Michael Jackson, the Indian guru Sadhguru, Mike Tyson, The Prime Minister of Great Britain at the time – Boris Johnson, The President of United States at the time – Donald Trump, and the British popidol Ed Sheeran.
They wanted each of these celebs created as a detailed memoj figure, and after a debate at our company about what would be easiest to recognize with each celeb, our graphic artists went to work. They asked for each of them placed around the globe, and our artist decided to make the globe a leaking baloon, and Trump holding a needle.
The next single was a love song for the local football team – Viking, also called “The Blue Berries” because of their blue shirts. The band asked for two things on the cover, which were football and a ref to the name. Our artist replaced the football with a blueberry to hit both flies with one stone and make the cover cleaner and easy to see as an icon.
